Following the pitch my feedback was to find ways to get the necessary information into the animation, so I had the idea of the information being designed into the environment and characters to make it subtle but informative.
These are a couple of rough idea of getting the information into the spore design so that the audience would understand what they are.

I have redesigned the Sperm character for my Fantastic Voyage following the pitch, I wanted the design to be similar to the spores but be army men instead. I think 2 works best.

For the Egg character I have designed it as a large character with small arms and legs as it cannot move and needs help from the Sperm characters.

I have updated my concept art to my new spore design and had 2 different versions, a version with a single spore which I thought looked better and a more accurate to the cycle version with multiple spores about to be launched.

In my animation I want the fern spores to act like army men, as if the spores being thrown from the fern is a military operation. My influences came from the army men characters in Toy Story.
